Despite its usage has declined, people still use this app to get information from latest news.
Nowadays, this is less than 50% of the population tested, as it has lowered after the pandemic. It also has a considerable difference from the app in second place, YouTube.
However, the people who still get informed through Facebook are only the oldest generations, as Tik Tok has risen among the youngest ones.
As we can see in the graph, while Instagram has shown an increase, TikTok’s line is even steeper. This is also noteworthy as some people don’t see this app as reliable one, as it have been said to spread misinformation about recent elections in Kenya and Brazil.
