Seven workers of WCK (world central kitchen), an organisation belonging to the Spanish chef José Andres , were killed by an Israel bombing attack. WCK has been in Gaza for 6 months already and supplied over 42M eating units in Gaza. The Israeli military expressed their concern and is taking the happenings under “exhaustive analysis”.

The two cars with the logos of WCK and one light vehicle were leaving the warehouse of Deir el Balah. The seven dead people following the bombarding were three Palestinians, one Australian, one Polish, one Britain and one half Us half Canadian.

WCK believes this incident was one of the several examples of weapons used against the ONG’s and has suspended the operations in the region. The attack was via air by the defence forces of Israel in Gaza. The Spanish government holds Israel responsible and believes the

government should stop the massacre and limit humanitarian aid. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society, a humanitarian organisation, mentions it took several hours to find the seven dead bodies. First they were transported to the hospital Al Aqsa Abu and then to Abu Yussef Al Nayyar before the failed try of evacuation through Egypt. The Israeli military is analyzing the incident

“thoroughly”. Over one million people are currently suffering from food insecurity. WCK and the catalonian organization “open arms” have supplied over 200 tons of food through seaway. The spanish president Pedro Sanchez, who is currently visiting a refugee camp in Jordan, has expressed his horror about the situation. Albanese, the Austrian politician has described the happenings as “Unacceptable tragedy”.

The humanitarian aid blockade is a recurrent issue happening in Gaza. A lot of trucks and supplies are not authorized by Israel and therefore, a big part of the help depends on Israel only. There are also other reasons why the humanitarian aid is not fully reaching the gazan population. The streets and roads in Gaza are completely destroyed because of the bombings. The Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu is also not willing to let a humanitarian kitchen into Gaza, believing that “it helps to deviate in favor of Hamas”. Several undated agreements and negotiations in the Israel government have also been an issue to advance in the issue of humanitarian aid.

Other examples of an accusation of an Israeli blockade have been made by the organisation “Oxfam Intermon” which has tried to supply oxygen and incubators and water and sanitation equipment. Other issues are related to protesters who believe the help is getting deviated to Hamas. Their motifs are to not help the murderers. They believe that 70% of the aid is getting to Hamas. These beliefs have no basis of opinion.

Many protestants get on the trucks and take the food and supplies because of hunger or to sell the items in the black market. The Hamas police are caught up with other security issues which makes the situation chaotic and insecure. Around 500 units of food should reach Gaza daily but because of the blockade only 100 can reach its population. Josep Borrell Fontelles, a Spanish politician serving as High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, believes Israel is using hunger as a war weapon, which, in case of being true, would be against the International human right.
